These terms apply to this website and to the Tab Reaper extension and apps. By using them, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Tab Reaper or this website.

Using Tab Reaper

  • Use Tab Reaper lawfully and for its intended purpose.
  • You must be old enough to use online services in your country, or use Tab Reaper with permission from a parent or guardian.
  • Do not misuse Tab Reaper or this website or interfere with their normal operation.

Tab Reaper can close tabs automatically, and you choose the rules it follows. Protect important tabs, pause cleanup when needed, and save work before enabling rules. Recently closed recovery reopens a URL; it cannot guarantee restoration of forms, unsaved edits, login state or page position.

Browser limits and availability

Behavior depends on the browser, permissions, tab visibility and operating system. A suspended browser or extension may delay cleanup. Safari tab groups that are not exposed to the extension cannot be cleaned until they become available. Matching restored tabs is conservative and cannot guarantee every timer or protection survives every browser change.

Features may change, improve or be removed in updates. We may update, suspend or discontinue the website, the extension or the apps, for example for technical, legal or operational reasons.

Apple distribution and purchases

For the App Store version, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies unless a separate custom EULA is supplied with that version. These terms supplement that agreement; if they conflict on App Store matters, Apple’s agreement controls for the App Store version.

Prices and purchase conditions are shown by Apple before purchase. Apple bills purchases and handles refund requests under its applicable terms and your statutory rights.

Apple, App Store and Safari are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries and regions. Chrome is a trademark of Google LLC.

Open source and branding

Source-code rights are governed by the license included with the relevant source version, not by these terms. Current source is available under MPL-2.0; older versions may have different licenses. Third-party components remain subject to their own licenses.

Source-code licensing does not grant rights to the Tab Reaper name, logo or branding beyond applicable law and the project’s published branding policy. Do not imply that an independently distributed version is the official product.

Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tab Reaper and this website are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We aim to keep Tab Reaper useful and reliable, but cannot promise uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every browser release or recovery of closed tabs or lost work.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data or unsaved work, arising from your use of Tab Reaper or this website. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability, warranties or consumer rights that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence require otherwise.
